For the first time in about six weeks competitors on both Saturday and Sunday last managed to complete eighteen holes golf without finishing drenched and wind-beaten. Whisper it, ambulance but just maybe our golfing summer is about to kick off! We would also like to extend a word of appreciation to Jason and all his staff. The course has never been in better condition and is a joy to play at the moment, about it thanks lads!

Would all members please note that a safety beacon has been installed on the roof of the maintenance shed to facilitate safe access for the groundstaff. All play on holes one and eighteen in the direction of the shed must be suspended while the beacon is illuminated. This will be for a duration of 30 seconds on a small number of occasions each day and certainly won’t spoil anybody’s round of golf.

Captain’s Qualifier:

The timesheet for Captain’s Qualifying is filling quickly. All intending competitors are advised to add their names as soon as possible.

Club Cups:

A small number of matches remain outstanding at the time of writing and we ask that these be settled immediately or the competitions committee will be left with no option but to eliminate both parties in each match.
