Competition Sponsorship

It’s that time of the year where the men’s competition committee are starting to put together the competition fixtures and sponsors for the coming year. Sponsors play a vital role in the success of competitions at Strandhill Golf Club and without their continued support, we would be unable to offer the quality of competition that we’ve had in years past.

To that end, if there are any members who know of someone or indeed who would be interested in sponsoring a competition themselves at Strandhill Golf Club this year, you can speak to any member of the men’s committee.

Bunker & Tee Box Refurbishment

Refurbishment work is being carried by the green-keeping staff on bunkers at the 9th and 12th holes and these bunkers are now Ground Under Repair and are clearly marked. There are drop zones in the vicinity of the bunkers where your ball can be played from, should your ball come to rest inside the GUR.

Ground levelling work has also been carried out to the third tee box and will re-open in the coming weeks. Players should continue to use the temporary tee for the third hole until notified.
