Midsummer Classic 18 Hole Scramble

Sunday saw the staging of the inaugural Midsummer Classic 18 Hole Team Scramble Event and it turned out to be a massive success with a large number of teams competing for some fantastic prizes. The clubhouse was buzzing all day with everyone asking, “Has there been a hole in one yet?” The focus was on the 17th hole throughout the day as player after player tried their best to win a golf buggy for themselves by scoring a hole in one. Quite a few players came extremely close with Padraig Watters just trickling past the edge of the hole and Anthony Skeffington just coming up short with their tee shots. There was a festive atmosphere in both the clubhouse and on the course as the teams also posed for team selfies which were then displayed in the clubhouse over the course of the day, each one generating a laugh and lively conversation as they were displayed on the TV in the bar.
