Martin O’Neill & FAI Visit to Strandhill Golf Club

Last Friday saw the F.A.I. Golf Society pay a visit to Strandhill Golf Club to play an 18 hole competition and Ireland Manager, Martin O’Neill relaxed after what was a busy week in Sligo for him with a round of golf accompanied by Captain Micheal Phelan and Derek Gray. After being presented with a Strandhill Golf Club Sweater, posing for photos and signing a few autographs, Martin who was quickly re named Máirtín by Michael, got his game of golf off to the perfect start by driving down the middle of the first fairway.

Even the strong winds didn’t dampen the spirits as the trio set about their business. Martin was quickly appointed as chief putt reader after displaying an eye for the line and there were high fives abound as putt after putt dropped.

We would like to thank Martin O’Neill and the F.A.I. for choosing Strandhill Golf Club to play their annual golf society outing.
