Best Wishes

Strandhill Golf Club members and staff would like to extend our best wishes to our friend and colleague Tommy Brett (Rockin Tommy) who underwent surgery last Thursday. We wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you around the clubhouse again soon.

Course Ranger

Over the past couple of weeks, volunteers from the club have been carrying out Course Ranger duties on the course to put a stop to the practice of non members going out in the evening times and using the facilities without paying green fees. It has been a great success so far and we hope to continue to do it for the remainder of the season while the evenings remain bright.

We have a good amount of volunteers but we really need more so that we don’t have to call on the same people all of the time. We hope to build a panel of about 30 members so we only have to roster people on once every 2 weeks.

We currently have two people scheduled to be on the course every evening for approximately one hour from 7 to 8pm to check that everyone on the course has their green fees paid.

If you would like to volunteer, call John Rainey on 087 7752309 with your details and we will add you to the rota.
