Interclub Competitions

Congratulations to all the girls and their caddies who represented our club so well and also to the team captains who had the onerous task of picking the teams. Very well done to you all. Your club is proud of your efforts.

Our Minor (Captain Stephanie Conlon) & Challenge (Captain Peggy Nolan)  teams put up gallant battles against the ladies of Ballina & Murvagh respectively on Thursday last and Monday however their efforts were not rewarded and after very close matches they were narrowly beaten.

Our Junior Foursomes team Captain Gillian Ballantyne took on the ladies from Blacklion in very wet conditions at Carrick on Shannon Golf Club on Saturday afternoon last.  The team claimed victory 2 & 1.

The following day, Sunday, it was the turn of the Revive Fourball Team, captained by Grainne Henneberry & Margaret Gerrity to play against the ladies of Bundoran in truly Summer golf conditions.  We had 3 matches in Strandhill of which we won 2 and two away of which we won 1 and halved the other. The final result was 3&1/2 to 1&1/2

Well done to all of our teams and very best of luck to the girls in the next round of the Junior Foursomes & Revive competitions.
